Deb "Danny" Glenn is a dedicated adventurer, undaunted by what most would consider
insurmountable barriers. She took
on an international lending institution after they made her family
a victim of fraud and won (Her fictional novel To Die For Justice is available through bookstores near you). She competed in the World
Championship equestrian event, Hunter Under Saddle, brought daVinci's
painting to life in a drama about "The Last Supper", finished
first in the Chicago Sprints Sculling Competition, founded the Wisconsin
Lacrosse Foundation when her children wanted to play the game, sang
at the White House, turned an empty building in a rural community
into a long-term care facility for the frail elderly, and is currently
in training to run the 2011 Iditarod. A descendant of William H.
Seward, she plans on using her participation in "The Last Great
Race" to benefit others.

"I suppose the most frequently asked question I get is, 'how did you ever decide to do this'. I went to Nome seven years ago to watch the finish of Iditarod, and I guess lines from Shakespeare describe it best, "the eyes say what the lips fear to speak". I looked into the eyes of the mushers and their team and thought, man, where have you been, and wherever you've been, I need to go there'.
I've
always had a fascination for stories about brave explorers, folks
who come along and try to move beyond their personal comfort zones
or boundaries as I would call them, to seek a greater purpose outside of
themselves - a journey that although made with great risk or sacrifice
could make a positive difference to humankind."
